Our specially trained therapists focus on delivering cost-effective, efficient care to injured workers. We cater to the special needs of the injured worker and their employer. Our positive approach prepares clients to return to work as quickly and safely as possible. We can help clients reduce costs by working proactively to prevent injuries thereby reducing lost time, medical costs, and increasing productivity.
Therapists are highly trained in the treatment of work-related injuries
St. Vincent's utilizes only licensed therapists for patient treatments
Close communication is maintained with the referring physician to ensure optimal progress is being achieved

Designed for individuals unable to perform modified duty following a serious injury or complicated rehab course
A vital component for transitioning roles from patient to worker
Structured yet individualized programs designed to reduce functional limitations with the goal of returning to work
Disciplines include: PT, OT, Psychology
Programs are designed to meet specific needs of both the patient and the employer. Daily sessions are typically four to six hours but can be tailored to allow for progressive modified duty
Maintains injured worker on a strict work schedule
Provides documentation of non-compliance
Includes a job site visit as part of the initial evaluation
Independent fitness memberships are available for patients after discharge from rehab
Assists in maintaining progress achieved in therapy
Patient attendance can be monitored and documented for Worker's Comp
Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)
All therapists are Certified by ErgoScience to administer the PWPE
The PWPE is the only FCE that:
1. has complete reliability and validity research to substantiate its consistency and accuracy
2. meets the APTA Standards for FCE
3. meets the APTA Guidelines for Tests and Measures
4. meets requirements for expert witness testimony that have been established through case law.
Provides accurate prediction of a patient's level of work and ability to work at that level for a full work day
Evaluates a patient's willingness to exert a maximal effort
All therapists have received AMA training
Therapists review pertinent medical history and complete all measurements and calculations that are submitted in letter format for physician approval
Reduces injuries by ensuring that new workers have the physical ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job
To ensure that testing is compliant with ADA law, each screening is based on the actual job demands quantitatively measured by the therapist. Generic tests and normative data are not utilized.
A job site analysis can provide valuable information such as identifying potential safety hazards, recommending job modification, and defining educational needs.
Ergonomic services assist clients in meeting OSHA standards and setting up ergonomics programs.
Staff training meets or exceeds OSHA inspector training.
